Thorndon: a full kitchen in solid oak
A full replacement kitchen in solid oak for a 1920s Thorndon villa, built and fitted in six weeks.
The owners wanted a kitchen that suited the age of the house without pretending to be from it.
What we did
Solid oak carcasses, hand-finished doors, and a single-piece island bench. Everything was dry-fitted in the workshop first so the install took three days rather than three weeks.
The tricky part
Not a single wall in the room was square. Every cabinet was scribed to fit on site.
